Portablefilm is the cameraglasses recognition and imaging system used by portableroad.

Portableroad is an augmented reality and life recording system. It was built over about 10 years starting in 1998 and completed in 2007. Here are project notes describing it in architecture, construction process, and implementation. The system is described in relationship to a proposed architecture of perception. The system's construction process is described as a collection of components including an image projector and recorder, various position sensing components, a network connection to a remote computer, and a local radio data network. The system's implementation is described in relationship to social theories including realism and modernism.
